Historic Flight Commemorative Lighter

Description

In 1931, Russell Boardman and John Polando "great pioneers of air transportation", broke aviation records by flying non-stop from New York to Istanbul in their plane named "Cape Cod." Alexander Finn, who knew Boardman from his carnival barnstorming days, hosted the gala celebration of their return in Hyannis. The Barnstable Municipal Airport is named Boardman/Polando Field after the two men.
